WING SABER TOYZ UPCOMING RELEASE: Tokyo toy Show Exclusive: Transformers United Takara TF United Set (-Limited-) Cybertron Prime & Megatron! Dark Beginnings! 「トランスフォーマー ユナイテッド DSオプティマスプライム サイバトロンモード＆DSメガトロン サイバトロンモード」が東京おもちゃショー２０１１のタカラトミーブースにて数量限定で販売決定！

2:31 PM in Black Repaint, Exclusive Repaint, June 2011, Limited, Megatron, not in collection, OPTIMUS PRIME, TAKARATOMY, Tokyo 2011 toyfair, TRANSFORMERS UNITED, War For Cybertron, YET TO BE RELEASED

Hi there people! Just a quick update for all to share! Basically, in conjunction with the imminent release of the new Transformer Live Action Movie that is Dark of the Moon, Takaratomy along with E-hobby Japan has decide to commemorate this momentous event  by releasing the 'Darkside' edition of the War For Cybertron  incarnations of Prime and Megatron. The premise for this is to showcase the 'negative' and or mirror versions of the aforementioned Cybertron Leaders, decked out in two really distinct color pallets. Optimus looks sharp in his 'Nemisis' black and teal scheme with red chest windshield/ while Megatron's combination of flat black and purple gives the Decepticon leader an air of being rather a more shady and deviant figure.

Release details: Transformers United [Dark Side Optimus Prime VS Dark Side Megatron] Set

Remark: Tokyo Toy Show 2011 Exclusive

Estimate Retail Price (shipping included): RM200-RM228 / 5,000 Yen

Release Date: 20 June ( to be shipped after Tokyo Toy show 2011)

This release was first reported on the web-blog of Malaysian toy seller Famitoys sometime as recent as the middle of April 2011, and is available from most online retail stores. Not estimated as to how many of these 2-pack sets will be distributed come the day of the Tokyo Toy Fair 2011, but as usual, these will no doubt be scalped on other online sites in the near future. E-hobby will be taking a limited number of pre-orders especially for their Japan-based customers. Paid a decent sum for this and cannot wait to get it and add these awesome renditions in my collection!

WING SABER TOYZ UPCOMING ACQUISITIONS:- REVEAL THE SHIELD WAVE ASSORTMENT 2 = G2 LASER OPTIMUS, PRECEPTOR, BUMBLEBEE & WRECK GAR!

10:50 PM in Bumblebee, G2 Laser Optimus Prime, Hasbro, JUST BOUGHT, Preceptor, Reveal The Shield, TRANSFORMERS UNITED, Wave 2, Wreck Gar, Yet To Arrive

Hi there folks! Welcome to another preview blog post from yours truly, WSX.

Just thought Id mention and update my fellow followers with another recent, but humble acquisition of a series of current and sought after Deluxe toys from  the Reveal The Shield/ 'Classics 3.0' line.

As most of you might know or are already aware, barely had the dust settled on the initial Wave 1 RTS release, Hasbro has since gone out once again and made most collectors tear out their hair in frustration- by releasing Wave 2 of RTS only a couple of weeks ago. Alas, we poor collectors have to go through the motion when it comes to picking up the stuff we have been yearning for from our local toys mass retail stores- but thankfully, there are smarter alternatives such as the local import shops and or buying these from the online marketplace. In my case, these RTS Wave 2 toys- Preceptor, Wreck Gar, Laser G2 Prime- mostly- (I can exclude the Classics repaint of the Bumblebee toy--meh--rehashed too many times for my liking); were released much earlier through local hobby shops which I  have been frequenting quite regularly.

Technically 'sold out' when initially brought in sometime last month, I have managed to snag the set of four albeit not having received them just quite yet- from Ebay a couple of days ago. Rest assured that I will take them out of their plastic prison, obviously nothing stellar in terms of a thorough review, but I shall try my best to give a warped sense of the thinking when using my own style to review a liked transformer. Hmm.. I think starting with RTS Preceptor would be fitting, since he was one of my Favorite Autobot during the original series.  Now a 4WD of some-sort, he still has a indirect homage to his Diaclone days as a vehicular 'tank' -- albeit the major gripe what was glaringly omitted his 'Microscope' mode. But no complaints here from me, just glad we have a definitive "Classics' update of the Autobot Mathematician & Scientist. More on RTS wave to courtersy and linked/ credited to seiberton.com.

Hi folks! Just a quick update on the recent small 'haul' of toys which I have recently purchased. They are the United Transformers versions of Autobot Lieutenant and Autobot Speedster Jazz and Bumblebee. As some of you may already know, the Takaratomy counterparts of these two are highly sought after in the current market because of --what else? The vastly superior paint scheme on these moulded plastic specimens. Plus. the perfect use of not wasting space for the packaging works wonders --trust me--Lol --for storing away your precious collection neatly.

JAZZY!

Bought this pair of wonderful Transformers United toys form a local seller, and I've got to honestly say that the rates for a single United version Jazz would already cost an equivalent for two toys.  Those who missed out or who are looking for this version are looking to pay--plus shipping-- a total of USD$45 for Jazz. That's alot of dough. Breathing a sigh of relieve as thankfully, I managed to not pay after-market prices. Phew.

For the uninitiated, there are marked differences between the United version and Reveal The Shield (RTS) Hasbro versions of the Autobot's 2nd in command, Jazz which will be mentioned in this blog post. Again, I am not here to make scathing remarks about one or the other, just an aesthetic comparison. Firstly, the plastic used on the United version of Jazz is more bone white viz his RTS counterpart. His tire rims, front grille also is painted with a nice silver sheen, giving it a more updated and complete look. Finally, the tail-lights are painted a deep red to finish the awesome car mode. Personally, as a collector, I would just keep the much more nicer looking toy in it's plastic bubble for safe keeping. Because I have both versions, the so-called logic behind that is so that I am able to still fiddle with the RTS version, while having the satisfaction of keeping a highly prized alternative waiting. Lol. Overall United Jazz gets bonus points for making it look completely different and a much more better looking toy overall---in both bot mode and naturally, car mode. Get him while you can! A+ Highly Recommended!

LITTLE GOLD BUG....

Okay, just thought what the heck, as Id already have Bumblebee's originally released Henkei version. It didn't hurt as Takaratomy decided to release everybody's favorite little Autobot in a much more shinier gold paint job. It's suits this mould quite well, IMHO. A great little repaint. Heck the shiny effect alone is worth the import price paid. A!

More pictures can be seen here on Higekuma's toy blog!
