NEWLY RELEASED PICTURES OF ENCORE #22 TWINCAST AND #21 SOUNDBLASTER!

Hello folks! just a quickie update to say how pleased I am to be excited for the continuation of Takaratomy's Generation One homage sub line that is the Transformers: Encore series.

These next short days (to those living in Asia-Pacific region) will see the final distribution and release of two 'Cassette-trons', aka Encore #21 Soundblaster and Encore #22 Twincast. They come with  Great homages to the original releases, and they fixed the faces of the toys to fit their anime during the Headmasters continuity appearance! The pictures of the newly and soon to be released reissues are liked and credited to Hobbysearch.jp.

Text linked / credited to user Powered Convoy from the Allspark forum:

The latest Encore figures Soundblaster with Enemy and Wing Thing and Twincast with Nighstalker and Stripes!  These highly anticipated reissues feature modified versions of the the original Soundblaster (now with an all silver face plate, red eyes, and tampographed insignia symbol) and Twincast (with a yellow face, blue eyes, smooth tape deck, and tampographed insignia symbol) as well as new Cassettrons based on very obscure Cassettron related characters!  First up is Enemy, a red and dark blue redeco of Frenzy based on the old Transformer Radio and Voice Changer.  Next is Wing Thing, Action Master Soundwave's animal partner, who is presented as a black and orange redeco of Rat Bat.  On the side of the Autobots is Nightstalker, a black redeco of Steeljaw with Ravage's weapons, who was once partners with Ravage in a UK story.  Last but not least is Stripes, a orange and gray tiger redeco of Ravage with Steeljaw's weapons, who was presented in one of the original Transformers:  The Movie scripts.

Stripes: Blaster's preliminary Autobot cassette (which was) supposed to be part of the draft script in the 1986 Transformers animated movie. Idea was scrapped and he was (thankfully) eventually replaced by Ramhorn or Steeljaw.

-Nightstalker: a character in a Marvel UK exclusive text story. 'State Games'

-Enemy: Homage to the Original Micorchange MC-01 version of Rumble/Frenzy

-Wingthing: Soundwave's Action Master partner.

Verdict: Beautiful, vintage box-art. and the contents are perfect. What more can one ask for?!! Thus, I am buying TWO of each release!

WING SABER TOYZ SPECIAL: JUNGLE WARRIOR- DEMOLITIONS- SLUDGE!

Just wanted to get the complete set of G1 Dinobots in my collection. Decided to begin my quest by obtaining Sludge, and won him in pretty decent condition, complete weapons and accessories from Ebay. Item was shipped on the 22 June 2011, and should arrive to me in 2 weeks time, max.

Tech Spec
"Stomp your enemy, crush him under your feet."
Likes to make presence known -- a footstep can be heard and felt in a 3-mile radius. Gentle and shy, but terrifying and unstoppable in battle. Like other Dinobots, dislikes Optimus. Can exert 40,000 psi via feet -- enough to shatter a bridge. Immense strength and endurance. Adept at fighting in water, swamp, and jungle. Slow, not too clever -- often victim of the calamities he causes.

WING SABER TOYZ SPECIAL: = AFA-GRADED 1987 AUTOBOT HEADMASTER BRAINSTORM!=

''BRAINSTORMING'' SESSION?!

Hey there boys and girls! Welcome to another random preview for another blog post by the uber collector and all round friendly neighborhood  hoarder   nice guy, Adam aka WSX. Today's feature collection is by far the most valuable in terms of the collecting process ever managed to be won by me,. Yet again without humbly and sincerely thanking another wonderful seller Ive had the pleasure to meet on the TFW2005 boards. He is none other than all round UK nice bloke and seller, Locustreign! He is a kind soul, having let me win this awesome auction for this super cool AFA graded item, not withstanding the super-secret deal we have made! LOL. Brainstorm is an interesting figure simply because he was more prominent in the Japanese Headmasters cartoon continuity. Not only was he the sole responsible creator for the Headmaster technology and the Autobot's pioneering scientist/ physicist. Sure, he may not pack a wallop in battle, but he can be useful in terms of plotting a tactically scientific method for defeating the enemy. Brainstorm's interesting factoid is the different animation models used in the Japanese/American and commercials. I personally prefer the Japanese Headmaster model, which much resembles Brainstorms's toy in both colour and appearance.  the picture below shows the Japanese version, while the picture after is from the Rebirth series. Head and colour differences make for an interesting character representation.

Brainstorm transforms into a turquoise Cybertronic fighter craft. Both of Brainstorm's twin pistols attach to the front of his alt-mode's nosecone to extend it and augment it with two canard wings. As with all larger Headmaster toys, Brainstorm features both a cockpit suitable for his partner, Arcana, to sit in and an abbreviated Tech Specs bar graph inside his chest hidden under a hinged panel. When a compatible Headmaster head is plugged into the socket on Brainstorm's body, the bars will show three of that character's Tech Specs.

MEET THE ROBOT IN QUESTION!
Tech Spec

"The strongest tyrant cannot crush freedom of thought."

So full of ideas that he often begins disclosing a new one before he finishes explaining an old one. Worked with the mysterious Nebulan medical doctor, Arcana, to whom he's binary-bonded, to devise new technology that created the Headmasters. In jet mode, maximum speed: 5200mph. Range: 8000 miles. In robot mode, carries high-energy photon pulse cannons. Sometimes overheats and shorts out sections of his cerebro-circuitry.

WING SABER TOYZ FEATURED EBAY AUCTION #001: TRANSFORMERS GEN 1 SUPER-COMBINER TECHNOBOTS @ COMPUTRON!

AUCTIONEERING AHOY!

Hi there folks! Warm welcome once again to the blog of toy collector extrodinare Adam! Just thought that I would like to now add a new segment to my blog -- one that involves my potential triumphs or utter failure in relation to testing my abilities and capability when putting in strong bids on the Ebay auctions which have captured my desire to win/ obtain certain Transformer/ misc. toys.
Most recently, the lure of getting my first loose but very mint Generation One combiner for the Autobot team has led me to a gem of a find, whose Ebay bid page shall be incredulously pasted below for the cruel dispositions of the general public! LOL! The beautiful specimen in question was released
sometime in the year 1987,  but alas, that was also the year that I was a mere 4 year old-- not obviously, in tuned to the pop cultural phenomena that was the original Generation One cartoon series just yet!

COMPUTRON LIVES?!

[edit]The Transformers cartoon

Voice actor: Bert Kramer (English), Yoku Shioya (Japanese)
After Grimlock created the Technobots from parts within Unicron's head, he revealed that they had the ability to combine to form Computron to counter the new Decepticon combiner Abominus. Computron stated that his computation capacity was near infinite, but he lacked the knowledge to use this capacity. Grimlock then transferred his anti-electron-endowed super-intelligence to the combiner via a silly helmet. Abominus tried to crush Computron in a powerful hug, but the Technobot gestalt fought back by vibrating violently, forcing Abominus to disengage into its Terrorcon components, who fled away along with Galvatron and the rest of his minions. Grimlock's New Brain He later had a chance for a rematch with the Decepticon when the Terrorcons were found working with the Quintessons in secret on the terraformed moon of Titan. He again defeated Abominus, this time by triggering a mechanism that the Quintessons had installed into the Terrorcons in order to limit the time they could spend in their combined form. Money Is Everything
Abominus got Computron back when the Technobots were sent to defend Mark Morgan's laboratory. Almost immediately after combining, Abominus declared that "Computron think too much" and blasted him. The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1

COMPUTRON is the combination of the five Autobot Technobots. Typically, thecombiner process dulls the wits of the individual transformers, however, such is not the case for Computron. The Technobots managed to remedy that problem, but in the process, severely lagged Computron's reaction time. Before coming to any decision, Computron must analyze the opinions of every individual Technobot, resulting in his falling behind in battle. In the end, he always makes the correct choice, but more often than not it's too little, too late.

COMPUTRON is composed of:

WISH ME LUCK!

Ive put in my few final bids, and not expected to pay more that what I personally feel the whole lot of toys are worth. Some people have infinite resources, and spend them all in one shot! I am not that kind of person, alas-- I'll just usually bide my time and ride my luck. LOL! The only time that I have managed to win an Ebay auction outright was only on cheaper stuff that had a very low reserve price of $0.99! But I feel good about my prospects for this COMPUTRON, though. Hope it pans out for the better, at least for my sake!

FINAL SAY:-

The individual TECHNOBOTS are rather nicely done and looks great displayed in a team.  All of them represent a limited engineering time bygone and outdated, however,  the combined mode of the final form of COMPUTRON makes up for the lack of articulation and flaws of the individual Technobot toys.  Color combination of oranges, maroons and whites and a dash of  brown really make this G1 Gestalt a sight to behold.  Get him while you are able to from an online source. Most of the Gen 1 combiners are still available albeit they are getting increasingly limited and rare, especially if you are a completest and an Mint In box collector. Also to note that you must ask the potential seller if your toys come with the pletheora of guns ans accessories necessary to combine all the 5 bots into the huge super-warrior.   Highly recommended, if not steep! A++++++++!!!
