UPDATE: MORE TRANSFORMERS PRIME ARMS MICRON RELEASES DUE DECEMBER 2012~

10:42 PM in ARMS-MICRON, Japan exclusive, Leo Prime, Shockwave, TAKARATOMY, Transformers Prime, Ultra Magnus, YET TO BE RELEASED

Hi folks, WSX here bringing you another piece of collecting update that I am personally psyched about. Arms Micron releases scheduled for December 2012. brings some exciting new characters to the fold.

Japanese toy company Takaratomy  has updated their website listings for three future Arms Micron releases: AM-27 Ultra Magnus (a redeco of the recently release Voyager Ultra Magnus with a new Arms Micron hammer), AM-28 Leo Prime (a redeco of Thundertron in colors resembling those of Lio Convoy from Beast Wars II, with a Micron companion resembling Moon, from the same show.) and AM-29 Shockwave

Story linked and credited to Uber fan-site TFW2005. These Voyager class toys will retail for approx 4,200 Yen and the deluxe at 2,100 Yen. Steep prices, but totally worth the time as the decos are much more inspired compared to Hasbro's versions IMHO. Add to the fact that Arm Micron toys/ weapons are fun to assemble and play with, it lends more in terms of value -add playability to the figures themselves. Really looking forward to getting these added to my ever growing collection!

New pictures of Transformers Prime Voyagers Thundertron and Ultra Magnus!

1:44 PM in New Character, NOT IN COLLECTION, Thundertron, Transformers Prime, Ultra Magnus, VOYAGER, YET TO BE RELEASED

Hi folks, WSX here back to give a preview of what to me personally are another two excellent additions to the already awesome TF: Prime toyline in the form of Thundertron and Ultra Magnus! These are the Hasbro US versions, and also please take note that Takaratomy will also be releasing theirs in the next couple of months.

Pics, news linked / credited are courtersy of Robotkingdom, Tformers.com, HK-Transformers and TFW2005.

Really stoked for these both as their designs are pretty solid, especially for Ultra Magnus as his smaller and Legends Class version was already a winner.  These should hit retail outlets sometime soon maybe in a week's time! Stay tuned when I find them and buy them!

UPCOMING RELEASES # 01: EHOBBY Alternity A-01 Ultra Magnus feat. Nissan GTR!

10:24 AM in Alternity, e-hobby, Exclusive Repaint, Ultra Magnus

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:

This is yet another uber-cool release THAT IS MOST LIKELY, IF NOT BORDERING ON THE OBSESSION fan the perpetual "flames" of those hard-core-collector's. Nothing on the details, except that this will once again be another ehobby exclusive. As to when the official release date of this beautiful white repaint of the popular (and crazily sought after) Alternity A01- Convoy, there are unconfirmed reports from several sources such as www.Seibertron.com that fans of this mold can see a premature release sometime as early as July of 2010; whilst other places are expecting a mid-to late August 2010 release.

DO WE REALLY NEED ANOTHER CONVOY REPAINT?!!

In my humble opinion, the decision from those hobby toy companies are just using this so-called release to gain a few extra bucks, but at the same time (obviously) cater to the fussy collectors like yours truly. The one minor gripe that still bugs me is that the toy makers, in this case the usually ever reliable "ehobby" folks, seem to have decided to take the "lazy" approach by NOT releasing this uber-cool "Ultra Magnus" GTR incarnation in the more "traditional" and "view friendly" windowless style packaging. BLASPHEMY! >:-/

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Pretty tempting, I must admit. Although, the thought of owning another awesome and high quality Alternity toy, aside from the lame reason that he is a straight up white repaint, this beautiful A01 Ultra Magnus WILL be eventually added to my growing "army" of Alternity Convoys. You can bet on that! A++
