BODHAR2000 WRITES! :

This is longtime Transformer collector and dealer bodhar2000.  I am here guest blogging for my good friend Adam.  First of all, many thanks to him for his patience as he has been asking me for ages to guest blog for him. He asked me to write about anything that I wished, so I decided to write about something extra special for him. The following items were obtained through numerous networks and channels and I am happy to provide a pic of these rare items.

The first is the unreleased Official Transformers Collectors Convention (OTFCC) 2004 Midnight Defensor. The one in the picture is the original prototype and is the only one known in existence.  This was a repaint of RID/Car Robots Optimus Prime and never made it to production once 3H Productions lost the convention licensing rights to Fun Publications in 2005. As you can see in the picture, it comes with a slick new head sculpt and I proudly have it as a member of my collection.

The other two figures I have in the picture are two of the white heads Shuffler and Lione.  These were white versions of the six Japanese exclusive Headmaster Heads (Trizer, Shuffler, Lione, Rodney, Kirku and Loafer). These were much scarcer than the colored versions because they were given as gifts to the shop owners and were not available to the general public. These command over $1000 each and are quite sought after among hardcore collectors. However, with the advent of the knock-offs I am not sure how the value has been effected. You can tell the difference between the KO and the real thing by the Takara 87 datestamp on the figures.

Finally, bonus points to whomever can name the green character in the picture. Hint: He terrorized St. Canard back in the 90’s!
