HAS WSX CAUGHT ON THE MACROSS BUYING PHASE?!
Hi there folks, this is WSX giving another blog-post (one of the many potential filler posts until I find the space --not to mention additional financial means! to store my stash of toys! LOL!) --of the thought -provoking age old question of toy collecting:- When the reviews are this scathing and negative, especially from the tough perspective of the Japanese Otaku-collector crowd, one has to seriously rethink any planned purchases the particular line of toys or figures/s which one had initially planned for.
WSX is of course, like many of you savvy and rationale collectors out there, in the sense that the value and time, not to mention the effort you put in when chasing something desirable, must always take oneself back to the basics of 2 things, IMHO, which are;- (1) the monetary value for your expenditure and (2) nostalgia factor. The constant checking for the best deals in town, when it came to pricing for this year-old VF25-Valkyrie Messiah Alto Chogokin incarnation of the main mecha from the Macross Frontier series; is pretty much a cinch ; however, this collector is mighty glad that he is not a completest or has multitude of interest to purchase. Macross toys are usually a hit and miss with me. Sure, although I have only ever a total of ONE robot from the franchise to my collection,, I thought to myself, that hey-- nothing is ever going to catch my interest again! Oh boy, was I wrong!!
MESSIAH FROM THE SKY?!
Okay, the review below sums up (roughly translated via Google) -- man, you gotta love the messed up text or katakana translation from Japanese to English! Hysterical, but yet, serious and enlightening~ Hmm, although there are more not do kind reviews and disappointed Otaku hobbyists and collectors; nevertheless, I am of the school of thought that maybe-- just possibly -- that these are after-all a seriously hard-core and perfection-personified bunch of enthusiasts.

"Purchased on the web as a soul, I feel it is still out. The body's initial purchase only the most part were super grateful sold separately, will be bundled with it now, so there was, I feel a little betrayed. Now, for those who think that buying products can be purchased appreciate aligned with Super Parts. If I do thoroughly renovated version of the body, however, state that this sale, sold separately so I feel the time is right to try even one-Ozma Amadopatsu machine. Hmm. . . There you can set the unit sales Amadoaruto (sweat). Who currently have an impression of the plastic model can be fun and different, I think prospective buyers to buy to enjoy."^So, it's just like one of those super-sexy sports car, but when you take it for a spin, the performance falls flat, and you are left more "shaken" then stimulated and titillated, huh?! Close but no cigar-type scenario?! Man, that doesn't sound too encouraging!
BUT IT'S ON SALE!! WHY DON'T YOU SPEND YOUR $$$?!

As tempting as the offer from the sales pitch from Amazon Japan website sound, and boy does it look uber cool-- but this purchase would have to be carefully thought over, not least because I am running out of space in my tiny teensy room to actually store more boxes!LOL!-- but add to the limiting fact that I am currently (note: slowly and patiently) building up my list of holy-grail Transformers -Vintage Japanese!!--- this DX Chogokin VF-25 Messiah Alto custom will have to take a back-seat, unfortunately or fortunately, which ever way the scenario goes! I still want to give this mecha a chance to shine by eventually buying it. However, this is currently more of a 50-50 buy in WSX's eyes and opinion. Beautiful things may not give you satisfaction. That is why I always subscribe to the firm believe that vintage "bricks" with little or no poseabiluty will always rule the day for me. B+?
