WING SABER TOYZ UPCOMING RELEASE:- THE ROBOT SPIRITS -Robot Damashii- (SIDE KMF) Code Geass: コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ / Lelouch of the Rebellion Lancelot Albion Knightmare Frame!

Welcome once again to my followers from around the world to another random blog post by your truly Adam! I have mentioned countless times on my other posts that the fun part about finding cheap and high grade Japanese hobby toys from a reliable online source can be pleasing to one's soul and a serious form of ' retail therapy' when things are not going your way. Today's purchase is another of those sorts where a good mecha design is just the perfect way to start the month, even the more better when the payment for the neat toy won't be registered for yet another month or so!

CODE GEASS?!

Now, admittedly, I am not such a fan of those really 'girly'/ bishonen  type of main-stay character designs from some of the churned and tested Anime productions so churlish made and produced in abundance year after year -- no offense to all the female fans of this genere out there! LOL!-- but sometimes the main character does not always take center stage to said dramatic effect. Some of these lame excuse for a real solid show (cant you see that I am all for the more violent, philosophical and more endearing old school Mecha Anime?!)   but thankfully, there is plenty of mecha- on  mecha carnage and fast paced action sequences in this Code-Geass  anime that is the actual saving grace when it comes to barely summing up the patience to sit through a non-discript and unimpressive anime like the above title. The main hero's mecha which glows in it's all powerful and god-like (aren't they all?!) mecha aka Knightmare Frame also known as the final form / 9th Generation : LANCELOT ALBION- has once again inspired Bandai Japan to design a real solidly made Robot Tamashii/ Spirits incarnation.  This is the first version made, with the second and more bigger and 're-imagined K.A. aka Katoke Hajime Ver which was released recently this year.

LANCELOT ALBION!

The speedy and powerful, graceful Lancelot Albion is more than a match for his tough enemies, as seen here in this YouTube link.

Lancelot

"The Lancelot (ランスロット Ransurotto?), named after Sir Lancelot of the Knights of the Round Table, is an experimental prototype seventh-generation custom Knightmare Frame developed by Lloyd Asplund and the Military Engineering Corps. It is the personal Knightmare Frame of Knight of Seven Suzaku Kururugi. It is the first seventh generation Knightmare Frame ever fielded. The Lancelot outperforms most other models thanks to the heavy amount of sakuradite scattered throughout its frame as well as in its Yggdrasil Drive, the Core Luminous. The same enhancements also make it difficult to pilot; while Suzaku can control it with ease, Lloyd notes that most of the test pilots could barely make it move. As it is still in development, the Lancelot lacks an ejection system.

The Lancelot serves as a test bed for experimental technologies, and as such has a wide array of armaments. It has two retractable Factspheres affixed on its chest (earlier models have a single, head-mounted unit), two forearm-mounted energy shields called the Blaze Luminous, and four Slash Harkens (two on its wrists and two on its hips). These Slash Harkens have experimental thrusters called Harken Boosters which can improve their speed and allow them to change direction midflight. It also sports a pair of Maser Vibration Swords. It carries a VARIS particle rifle (Variable AmmunitionRepulsion Impact Spitfire) which can adapt its projectile repulsion output to any situation. The Lancelot is also the first Knightmare equipped with a backpack-like Float System; however, the power usage of the Float System is astronomical. When equipped with the Float System, it is redesignated as Lancelot Air Cavalry."

FINAL SAY:-

Easily one of the best Robot Tamashii Figures out there, the Lancelot Albion figure come with the usual signature Weapons, interchangeable hands and other interesting extras like the extended slash harkens/ blades to add to the overall figure's playability. I may not be familliar with the whole Anime storyline nor the rest of tis plot/ characters and mecha, but the graceful and sleek design on the Lancelot Albion is  a decent buy if you are a great admirer of all tings MECHA! A!

WING SABER TOYZ SPOTLIGHT: = S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider V3 (Kamen Rider THE NEXT) [Bandai ]

Hi there boys and girls, this is yours truly, Adam  bringing you another one of those random blog post with regards to the "flavor of the day" in terms of yet another Japan-release figure to catch my imagination.
This type of spotlight  is a first of sorts for me. Blogging about my least understood subject matter of super-poseable Tokusatsu type heroes,  which have been a staple and folk-generational lore of the small-screen since the beginning of the 1950's  era of Japan pop-culturedome brings a slight hedonism  to the mix, if you will. The figure in question is derived from Bandai Japan's successful line of  S.H.  Figure Arts stable of characters.

Godzilla in 1954's Godzilla. The techniques developed by Eiji Tsuburaya forToho Studios continue in use in the tokusatsu-film and -television industry.

TOKUSATSU ICONS?!
Text taken from Wikipedia

"Tokusatsu (特撮?) is a Japanese term that applies to any live-action film or television drama that usually features superheroes and makes considerable use of special effects (tokusatsu literally translates as
"special filming" in Japanese). Tokusatsu entertainment often deals with science fiction, fantasy or horror, but movies and television shows in other genres can sometimes count as tokusatsu as well. The most popular types of tokusatsu include kaiju monster movies (the Godzilla and Gamera film series), superheroTV serials (the Kamen Rider and Metal Hero Series), and mecha dramas (Giant Robo). Some Tokusatsu television programs combine several of these sub-genres (the Ultraman and Super Sentai series). Tokusatsu is one of the most popular forms of Japanese entertainment, but most tokusatsu movies and television programs are not widely known outside Asia."

Suitmation (スーツメーション Sūtsumēshon?) in Japanese identifies the process in tokusatsu movies and television programs used to portray a monster using suit acting. The exact origin of the term remains unknown. At the least, it was used to promote the Godzilla suit fromThe Return of Godzilla.

It's always been a novel, yet sometimes silly notion that these super heroes are merely grown men in over the top and colorful costumes. The notion of playing  "dress-up" to me is actually pretty endearing to say the least. It's corny, and one of the earliest memories of my Masked Rider experience was staying glued to the so-so and cheesy Malay dubbed  Masked Rider Black RX,  during the early 1990's.  Good times.  The mixture of typical action and stunt sequences, and not to mention "cliff-hanger" scenes had my adrenaline and imagination pumping, yearning for more.  It was a pretty expansive and kick-ass eye opener when one was at that impressionable age., let me assure you. I was pretty much glued to most of the Tokusatsu shows shown during that era of nostalgic innocence.

UPDATED AND MODERN!
Text taken from Wikipedia

The Kamen Rider Series (仮面ライダーシリーズ Kamen Raidā Shirīzu?, translated as Masked Rider Series) is a metaseries of Japanese tokusatsu which generally features an insect-themedmotorcycle-riding superhero who fights supervillains referred to as kaijin (怪人?). The franchise began in 1971 with a show titled Kamen Rider which followed college student Takeshi Hongo and his quest to defeat the world-conquering Shocker organization. Over the years, the popularity of the franchise has grown and the original series has spawned many television and theatrical sequels. The cultural impact of the series in Japan resulted in astronomer Akimasa Nakamuranaming two minor planets in honor of the series: 12408 Fujioka, after actor Hiroshi Fujioka, known for his portrayal of Takeshi Hongo/Kamen Rider 1,[1][2] and 12796 Kamenrider, after the series, itself.[1][3]

FINAL VERDICT

Kamen Rider the # 3rd aka V3, has always been one of my most favorite designs and the updated "remake" looks sharp and sleek by modern design standards. The good thing is that all the special deals available on the market have opened up endless possibilities of not being left out  to purchase one of the most coolest designs ever to grace the collector's hobby circuit. I'll be looking and keeping a sharp eye on any remnant of the V3 made in the local toy and shopping complexes. A++
